Hi readers. I've been gone for a while but here I am with some suggestions about RESCUE DOGS Two great things rolled into one: Getting a dog Saving a life But, be careful. You may not want to get one for your first-ever dog or if you have young children/people who are afraid of dogs in your household. Some good adoption options are the ASPCa and HSU. Thanks!

Boarding/Vacation

Sarbear here. Have a great day. Today I'm giving you a short and sweet post on vacation...😎😎😎... and what to do with your dog. 1. Board your dog at a vet/ pet center. 2. See if your dog can come with (yay! Adventure of your lifetime). You have to check to make sure: If you're camping, it isn't watershed If you're staying in a hotel/renting/staying in a family member's place, ask if the dog is welcome

Playtime

Whether it's chewing on a bone or playing ball, there are a few basic MUST-DO'S for dog playtime. Chew Toy Stuffed Animals One important thing about stuffed animal dog toys is that the dog should not get them confused with any stuffed animals for people in the house. Another couple of tips RIPPING APART- The dog has ripped it apart and is eating the stuffing. My poodle does that alot and we have a stool to keep broken toys. After that, if you know someone who sews (no, not a paid professional. A relative or friend) fix it up and you're back in business. RESISTING THE TEMPTATION- This is in two parts. - Don't buy a million toys for your dog. Spoiling is as bad for a dog as a child. My dog has 3 stuffed animal chew toys and a couple of bones, plus her beloved KONG Bottom and ball (look for a post on that later). - Don't leave a dog in a crate with a toy, especially a stuffed animal toy. A dog might rip it apart (read the RIPPING APPART for when th...

Tips: Choosing A Dog

Chances are, if you're reading this blog, you already have a dog. But, in case you're doing research about dogs, keep reading! Step 1: Figure out what breed you want. This is important because if you live in a tiny apartment, you DON'T want a Bernese Mountain Dog because they are HUGE! You would be more suited to a Yorkshire terrier. After you consider environment, you have it narrowed it down. Now do research on those specific breeds and choose which one is more suited to your personality. ENVIRONMENT- Consider size of house, how often you are home, and whether or not you have younger people at home (2-10). If you have kids, a fierce dog like a Jack Russell Terrier might not be the best choice because I don't think they're kid-friendly. By the way- if you're allergic to dogs but love them, get a hypoallergenic dog, such as a poodle. My dad's allergic, and we have a poodle and it's fine! PERSONALITY- You might want a dog that run with you,...

The Basic Tricks:Sit

This is my first "trick". This is how to get your dog to sit.               1.Hold a treat above your dogs nose.                2. Say "sit" WHEN/ IF your dog willingly sits.                 3.Repeat                    4.When you feel your dog has it, try it without the treat. Hope this was helpful.
